How to decide if a Destination Wedding is for you

One of the first things a couple has to consider when getting married isn't just when to get married, but where. Just like any wedding decision, it's an important one. Your guests are to be considered most and where they are all coming from. Here are a few topics to thinks about:

1. Are most of your guests having to travel anyway to attend your wedding? Might as well make the meeting point your wedding in a destination location. If most of your guests are having to travel as it is, asking them to make a mini vacation out of your wedding doesn't seem like a bad idea. This may lower your guest count a bit, but you know the family and friends that mean most will make it a point to be there on your special day.

2. Do you like the idea of hosting activities for your guest before and/or after your wedding date? It's customary to host different events like a "Meet and Greet" your guests. This typically happens the first day/evening your guests arrive. Also, a "Farewell Brunch"  the day after the wedding day. Keep in mind, these events can be anything you would like them to be. Maybe your "Meet and Greet" is on a dinner cruise instead. Either way your guests will enjoy the time they have with you, we just know it!

3. How do you feel about a relaxed dress code? Typically a destination wedding is help near a beach. Guest tend to dress down as opposed to dressing up for a traditional wedding. You will see more sandals and casual dresses. It gives the wedding day more of a "laid back" feel.
