Custom Fold Graduation Announcement

We love ours clients! Some we even watched grow up through their stationery. From Bar Mitzvahs, Holidays cards, and now Graduation announcements. We were honored to design this announcement for a great client of ours.

We went with a custom folder that includes images of the graduate. We lined the envelope and of course paired everything with non traditional thermography thank you note cards. Take a look!

Custom Pocket Fold with Glitter Accent Wedding Invitations

We love our glitter paper options! When we sat down with this amazing couple they specifically wanted something simple but with gold glitter accents. We knew they would love this design!

We decided to go with an all white square pocket folder. Inside you'll see a two layered main invitation panel with tiered additional inserts. All topped with a two layered monogram placard to bring everything together.  LOVE!

Custom Envelope Liners!

We LOVE envelope liners! They're such a great way to add personality to your invitations. It's definitely an added detail to consider. Not only are they great to look at, but they serve a great purpose when it comes to 3D elements. For example when it comes to adding rhinestones to your stationery, we always recommend an envelopes liner to protect each invitation suite while in the mail.

If you'd like to see more sample of custom envelope liners contact us and we can meet up!

How to use your Wedding Website in your invitations

The internet today has taken over as far as we know it. Especially when it comes to weddings. Everything from being able to RSVP online and weekend itineraries, no wonder more and more couples are opting in to create one. We don't blame you! It's actually one of the first questions we ask our wedding couples. Do you have a website? And what information is on that website?

As a wedding stationer, there are a few things we nit pick about. One of those things is opening an envelope and a ton none coordinated cards spilling out. This may not bother everyone, but it can drive us up the walls. When it comes to your wedding invitation suite, we believe there should be a rhyme or reason for every piece. So if having those additional inserts printed and made nice to coordinate with the rest of your invitations suite not fit into your budget, we highly suggest a wedding website. Keep in mind, your invitations are your only chance to give your guests that 1st Impression of your wedding day. If a mess of information is being thrown at them they more than likely will get overwhelmed.

Now, if your not the mass "additional inserts" kind of couple, and want to include your website, there are certain places to have it listed. It will normally go onto the reception card, never on the main invitation itself. That should be kept as formal as possible. Listing it on your RSVP card is a no no as well. Since your guests will be sending that back to you anyway, it's not the best place for it.

We know that your wedding budget can factors into which invitation suite you choose. I also know that having 4 plus inserts can get costly. So including an insert to list your wedding website can not only save you and your guests a headache, but will save on overall cost and postage.

There are always so many different options to choose from when conveying wedding information to your guests. We are more than happy to go over those options with you!

When additional inserts are needed!

When are additional inserts needed? This is actually a question we get quite often. There are a few tips we like to share with our clients when it can sometimes be confusing.

Whenever your reception is in a different location than your ceremony you MUST use an additional insert. You guests should have all information possible when it comes to both locations. This would include name and address, and also if there are any specifics about parking etc...

Aside from having multiple locations being listed on additional insert, other common details to include are accommodations, directions, illustrated map, transportation information, wedding website... Depending on the amount of information you can either insert everything onto one card, or use a separate card for each detail.

Considering a wedding consists of SO many details, we highly suggest additional inserts. Its a great way to add to your overall stationery design and keep you and your guests organized.

Cathy, what jobs do you do as a coordinator?

I often get asked that question....truth is, I often have to be a jack of all trades. There are the fairly expected jobs, but then, there are some that I never imagined would be come a regular staple, funny or otherwise! Some I have added to my portfolio....

1) Ensure that Ceremony has been prepped with all details: i.e programs, aisle runner,
check on decor, music, ushers, flowers, officiant etc.

2) Ensure that Reception has been prepped with all details: i.e escort cards, center pieces, music,
confirm catering timeline, confirm all vendor set-up, and any other amenities that need to be set-up

3) During Reception, ensure proper flow of evening, assist with grand entrance, be aware of
catering schedule, toasts, dancing, etc.

4) Seamstress! (Sewed a bridesmaid back into her dress after the zipper completely broke)

5) Coordination of all Vendors, Deliveries, and Set-up

6) Coordination of all Wedding Party Members: transportation, communication, logistics, etceteras

7) T-shirt designer (Upcoming Bachelorette Party)

8) Assistance with Pictures: Pre-Wedding and Post-Wedding coordination of all wedding party/family)...I am often just off camera holding things or assisting the photographer.

9) I carry with me a Bridal Emergency Kit (just in case): Kit Includes such items as stain sticks, hairspray, safety pins, a sewing kit, scissors, Static Guard, deodorant, straws, Band-Aids, snacks, etceteras

10) Cook! Food Prep - smaller parties where caterers are not hired...

11) Handle any emergencies that arrive, prevent and fix any issues should they arise.

12) Invitation Design and production: you may have already guessed at that ;-)

13) Pack up gifts/cards, miscellaneous ceremony and reception items and have them ready to be
taken to a family members car at the end of the night

14) Crafter-extrordinare! Putting together gifts and party favors.

15) Dance Instructor! When needed, I have given dance lessons: something simple and ofter at my couples'  homes. Being a retired ballet dancer and former Jubilee Dance Captain does have it's benefits! Look out "Dancing with the Stars!"

16) Romance Decorator! Ensuring the Bridal suite is decorated and as romantic as possible for the new Mr. and Mrs.!
